Job summary
Hope House Children’s Hospices have an opportunity for a Cook to join our team based in Oswestry. You will join us on a part-time, permanent basis, working 22.5 hours per week over 7 days. In return, our Cook will receive a competitive rate of £24,771 - £27,350 per annum (full time equivalent), based on experience.

Main duties of the job
About the Cook role:

Your role as a Cook will be to provide a hygienic environment in which families feel welcome and comfortable. You will work alongside the care team in the delivery of support, providing wholesome, nourishing meals to the children, families and members of staff.

Your customer service, approachability and flexibility will be important to your success as well as your technical knowledge and skills.

You will be a reliable individual with high professional standards and capable of quickly integrating into the Hospitality team at Hope House. You will be flexible in your approach to working hours and times, which will include rotational weekend working.

We are looking for a Cook who has:

Food Hygiene Level 2 or willing to work towards.
Awareness of nutrition with the ability to follow specific dietary plans.
Experience of working in a catering environment.
Awareness of key Health Safety considerations relating to catering hygiene.
